The Expert Formula For a Perfect Ramadan

World is witnessing the month of Ramadan. In Islamic World, people are getting ready to welcome this Holy month. An increase in spiritual activity is definitely observed in Muslim but not everyone is ready to abandon the professional ambition and life for a month.  Plenty of new/seasonal entrepreneur, graduates striver of all stripes want to find ways to enhance their careers during Ramadan.

Below, some recommendations to get your Ramadan started off right:

 Best Activity:

Scheduling comes first in my mind when I think about Ramadan. Timing of Prayer (Salat), Fast (Roza), Night Prayers (Taraweeh) taught us how to organize and execute priorities. Fasting teaches us how we can utilize our energy in efficient and effective manner. Fasters knows they can eat/drink so they learn how to preserve and consume energy, Its like a Survivor Training. Our behaviour becomes better at work places. We start seeing things from a different viewpoint. Our responses change and become better. We enjoy more peaceful and productive professional life during Ramadan.

Best Book

As Government of Muslim Countries (especially) reduces working hours during Ramadan. One gets more chance of reading a book. Normally Muslim reads The Holy Quran during this month. Its good to read the Holy Quran in its Original Language that is Arabic, but one should read this Holy Book in his/her own language also to understand. I also suggest to pick that feeds the brain i.e. Islam viewpoint on your field of work and study. Like Islamic Banking Concepts for a Banker, Medical Concepts for Doctor so on and so forth.

Best Career Tip

It turns out that Ramadan can go hand in hand with career development. I advise that Ramadan is a great time to re-examine your to-do-list and put a focus on all of those items you've been putting off. Aitikaaf is also a way to refocus on your life and hereafter goals.

Best Social Networking

Iftaar parties are one of the best way for networking. One can find a new intern ship job opportunity during this casual meeting. New Business Leads can also be generated. Getting back in touch or Reunion can heal some social issues.

Best Vacation

One can actually utilize his/her annual vacation during Ramadan. Plan Pilgrimage(Umrah), Local / International Religious Tourism. To recharge the batteries of your Imaan. Our level of Taqwaa  in general is at its peak during Ramadan. Explore and Learn from your experience.

POST SCRIPT:

Primary focus of a Muslim in Ramadan should be to gain higher level of Taqwaa. Above mentioned points are secondary. And in no manner can be treated as a substitute for ordered Shariah (Islamic Law) Activities. Its a side dish not the main meal.

My Summer Reads

The current economic turmoil, political instability, judicial uncertainty, and military repositioning has influenced my bookshelf of the summer too much. My summer reading list compromises money management books.   1. The Psychology of Money: The Psychology of Money by Morgan Housel. It is one of the finest books on understanding money and its management or we can say the relationship between Money and Human Behavior. The premise of the book is that we think of earning money as rational and logical but we spend money based on emotions and psychology. It consists of independent chapters on money, saving, investment, and spending. It can be read interdependently if you need recommendations on some specific targets.   2. Intelligent Investor: Intelligent Investor is written by Benjamin Graham. First published in 1949 and revised in 1972. It is a comprehensive and classic guide to investing but if you are interested in understanding classic strategies on the share mark...
