I am falling in love with Jungle of this T20 , where food chain have been destroyed, I have seen Rams hunting Wolves, Panther swam to chase Dolphins making their way to Semis. I like this Jungle because it gives the next to star, hardworking cricketer a platform to showcase himself. Starving for international cricket, this jungle gives a chance to those that just play below the stars, and are actually good themselves; will not play in anonymity, before a small crowds; they won't become a statistics in First Class records that only their relatives will see.
These are sportsmen who must make the most of the opportunity they get, you will see fantastic range of experience in this tournament. You felt for the young talent from Hyderabad Hawks, Quetta Bears, you carried away with the energy and courage that Afghan Cheetas bring to their cricket, you rejoice the cuteness of experienced first class cricketer who shies like a teenager giving interview after receiving Man of the Match. There is a charm in seeing them play on big stage, occasionally beating themselves and giving themselves a story to tell for many years. For cricket, especially Pakistani cricket,to be rich ( not only in monetary term), a strong club/domestic tournament is essential.
The tournament is at its full swing, I expect the tournament to be even better than in earlier years because of the qualification process. You could argue, and I suspect you wouldn't be entirely wrong, on entry of Afghan Cheetas in our national domestic T20 tournament. But it has ensured that international cricket can be played here because from my view point a foreign team is a foreign team.
Despite from the exit of Karachi Dolphins and Faisalabad Wolves, there are unlikely to be any terribly one-sided games as we have seen in the past. In club sides, player get the role they won't get with other stars around and revel in it.
Watching the T20 for me gives the same joy that a book lover feels when he discovers a gem from an unknown
